What we collect, and why
Contact form
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you selected, and your message. This is sent by email to contact@uwawp.com so we can respond to you. We don’t use this information for marketing, and we don’t share it with anyone outside our own inbox.
Comments
If you leave a comment on this site, we collect the content of the comment plus your name, email address, and IP address, to help detect spam. Your comment, name, and any website you provide may be displayed publicly; your email address and IP address are not shown publicly. An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be checked against the Gravatar service to see whether you’re using it. The Gravatar service’s own privacy policy applies to that check: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Comments are held for moderation before appearing.
Microsoft Clarity (analytics)
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site, through session recordings and heatmaps (aggregated click, scroll, and mouse-movement patterns). Clarity records the structure of the page and your on-page actions, not a video of your screen. Text you type into form fields (like our contact form) is always masked and never sent to Clarity in readable form.
Clarity sets first-party cookies to recognize your browser across a session. Data is processed and stored by Microsoft on Azure infrastructure, retained for up to 30 days for full recordings (longer for a small sample and any recordings we specifically flag), and is not sold. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site traffic and usage — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and whether a visit later leads to a trial or purchase of Ariadne. If we run Google Ads campaigns, the same data also measures whether an ad click led to a trial or purchase (Google Ads conversion tracking). This only runs if you accept our cookie banner; declining keeps it off for your visit. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google Analytics data is safeguarded.
Google Fonts
This site loads typefaces from Google’s font service (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) to render our typography. Loading a font this way sends your browser’s standard request information (including your IP address) to Google. See Google Fonts’ privacy FAQ and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases (Freemius)
If you purchase a Pro or Pro+ license for Ariadne through this site, checkout is handled by Freemius, our payment and licensing partner — we don’t collect or store your payment details ourselves. Freemius processes your name, email, and payment information directly to complete the purchase and manage your license. See Freemius’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Hosting and email delivery
This site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes standard server logs (IP address, browser/device information, pages requested) as part of running the site. Outgoing email from this site (like contact form replies) is also sent through Hostinger’s mail servers. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies: WordPress’s own technical cookies (used only if you comment or log in), and cookies from Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics as described above. Both are consent-gated — they only collect data if you accept our cookie banner, and stay off if you decline. If you accept and later click through from one of our Google Ads campaigns, this also lets us measure whether that click led to a trial or purchase; we don’t otherwise use these cookies for ad targeting or remarketing.
How long we keep data
Contact form submissions are kept as long as needed to answer your message and are not automatically deleted on a schedule. Comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove one. Clarity session data follows Microsoft’s own retention periods described above, and Google Analytics data follows Google’s own retention settings for our account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To make a request, contact us at contact@uwawp.com.
